Bearer of My Eyes, Stealer of My Breath

By WoundsLikeStars

My greatest fear is that I will pass my disease on to you

Apathy, self-inflicted despair, anger, and purposeful hopelessness.

You are an angel, filling my heart with unspeakable joy

And I, your unworthy benefactor, can only hope you learn to ignore...

Ignore my unqualified opinion on everything
Ignore my hateful views on life
Ignore my simple resistance to harmony

Bearer of my eyes, stealer of my breath...
Ignore all that I do in the name of "self."

Your existence is a double edged sword, however...
For you have forced me to do something I have forbidden
Not allowed
Anyone, myself included, to do...

You have forced me to find good in me

....and it is there....

So, in the name of continuity,

Observe my unbridled passion for words
Observe my never ending search for truth
Observe my holy love for you

Carrier of my name, thief of my soul
Observe my life being meant for you
