The Naked Truth

By With love_Crow

This coil is unwinding
Souls intertwined and stiff from slumber
In the space between our worlds
Above what we had thought was under.

Hoist the colors of our hearts
Fight for reasons we can’t render
Sending kids in baring arms
To stain the playground for their mothers.

Passed  what's thought to be real
We find treason in all its splendor
Hiding in a sea of friendship
At its core is where it plunders.

Though this sidewalk leads to nowhere
It is carved with things of wonder
Perhaps it takes us to a place
Beneath the mask of civil cover.
