This World...

By Phantasmagoria

Every tear we shed,
Counts as another wound on our heart.
And every feeling we get,
Completely tears us apart.

Everything we once believed in has perished.
And beauty has become grotesque.
Ourselves and pain have become inseparable,
Just as a writer upon his desk.

The only choice we have is to give up,
'Cause we'll never see the light of day.
There's no point in going on,
'Cause it will never be okay.

It's time to let go, we've suffered enough.
This is the last of our loneliness.
So just pull the trigger, let go of life,
Tonight the worlds full of emptiness.

Yep have felt this before. Feels like hard times just keep coming then I realise it's often easier to remember and linger on the bad times cuz we expect the good times to be a normal part of life so when they're here we just kinda take em for granted and when they're gone, it's like life has done us a wrong and it's not suppossed to do that. But this is how we grow by learning how to take strength from these moments and savor the good. Nobody else is gonna be you or contribute the qualities you have the way u do, so don't let the horrible things overcome u cuz your life is valuable intrinsically and if u harness your potential theres no telling what you could do. Sorry to go all therapist on ya there haha just hate to see ppl feeling this cuz I know what it's like ~Ash

Nothing could have fit my mood better than this tonight. But moods churn and change just like the weather.. I thank you for the kindred feeling.. ^V^

  • A former member wrote: It will never be okay, but we struggle on none the less. I loved the tone and flow of this poem. Life is pain, and without pain there is no life, I feel as though surrender is not the option.
