The Singularity

By ANGELSLAYER

I  scream in this silence
Agonizing in this solitude
Even though you're right by my side
I try to become one with this pain

The words we use to kill each other's souls
Does the love turn to hatred,
For that one single moment?

Promises are broken
Lies are made whole
I can't see the truth
From the bottom of this hole

It might as well be my grave
That you've dug with your malevolent tongue
Stripping me to the bone
Until my core is exposed

You're just another part of me
A part I wish I could kill

Could I survive without you there?
Can I cut away part of myself?
Such a fatalistic mutilation
Do I have a strong enough will?

To punish you........
I destroy everything that I am
To nourish you.........
I feed you parts of myself

The ashes from all of my dreams
Make a pretty shadow...... For your eyes
What's left when you suck out my heart
Will paint your lips in the prettiest of hues

A sharp tongue can be a great weapon and you can be the most hurtful to the people you love. Mankind is a strange beast, great write.
