A plague on words

By Leith Plunkett

Dripping pestilence from the mouth, defiler of words

Tears dropping like flies

When I scream

there is no reply

Feels like I’ve been crying

all my life

Following the reaper

kissing shadows

I wish I knew the right words

to say

goodbye
