A Small Act of Defiance
By Crush_With_Eyeliner
Today
I will
outlive
the moon.
See the
dawn
rise
to the East.
Bow in
an awkward
tradition
I've
never
expressed
until now.
Walk through
this
not-so-metaphoric
fog;
along what
used to be
a beach;
beneath
a brightening
sky.
A small
act of
defiance
against the
last citadel
of the night.

kings are made in such ways.................a pleasure to read this; a pleasure to know that in a fleeting moment of clarity and humanity, grace can resound from within...and extend outwardly, like time and its unsounding waves
