Tick-tock Clock

By Malcholm Dark

This silly refrain that you are about to read
Isn't worthy of your time so please take heed.
Reading it will bring you no sensible gain
To late!  Here it comes, that silly refrain.
--Stop! Stop that awful tick-tock clock,
the spring is too tight and gears will bind.
--My soul is missing, my brain's in hock,
disengage all thoughts and leave'em behind.

You see I lied not, no fable was told
So do not venture on, do not be bold.
I beg you be strong, try to abstain
Yet here we are, that silly refrain.
--Stop! Stop that awful tick-tock clock,
the spring is too tight and gears will bind.
--My soul is missing, my brain's in hock,
disengage all thoughts and leave'em behind.

Read no longer, only precious time shall pass by
It is a feeble mish-mash of an outrageous lie.
Scan no further, the words are inane
Here once more is that silly refrain.
--Stop! Stop that awful tick-tock clock,
the spring is too tight and gears will bind.
--My soul is missing, my brain's in hock,
disengage all thoughts and leave'em behind.

I see there is no hope, you unreasonable hellion
So the time has come for me to end the rebellion.
Frivolous words--empty words; how they bring me such pain
Lord in heaven, please let this be the last silly refrain.
--My brain has liquefied like molten rock
and the life I once led is gone I find.
--Please remove that awful tick-tock clock
and lock me away...
                               I
                                 have
                                        lost
                                              my
                                                  mind!

I couldn't help but see more tics and tocks behind me than what my clock can count of what lies in front of me..... isn't always life itself that drives one insane......... fun read, impeccable rhyme/witty.
