Circus Freak
By Malcholm Dark
Come
one, come all...
Pay to get a fright
Such a horrid
sight.
My life has been a sideshow
Best seen from the front row.
Curiosity you seek
Behold the viscous freak.
--Come
one, come all
see the mystery, see the show.
You'll be
told to sit still
Or I might pounce and kill.
I scream and roar
on stage
A monster full of rage.
A show full of chills and
thrills
My performance pays the bills.
--Come one, come
all
see the mystery, see the show.
My life is falsely
told
Wild thing, captured and sold.
Jungle-man and deformed
Educated and reformed.
Genetic mistake, that is me
A wicked
sight, come and see.
--Come one, come all
see the mystery,
see the show.
I'm not an animal
Reptile, fish or mammal.
Always I am a man
One you won't understand.
Actually, I'm
mild and meek
The big charade...
a circus freak!
Author's Note:
to all the sideshow freaks we love to gauk at, I salute youComments on "Circus Freak"

haha awesome.... reminds me of 'ladies and gentlemen' by Saliva, I think... and it makes me wonder what you do for a living, too. Well played parody... another well packaged delivery... tidy and neat. *gawks and then salutes*

How much would it take from a man to see his life as nothing more than an object for people to stare at and ridicle. We are fascinating creatures. no matter what cards we are dealt, we still have to make out way thru life, I really enjoyed this write, it got me thinking. keep up the good work.

Truly one for all of the freaks out there. Put on stage for the mindless amusement of others. Excellent piece as always my friend, write on.
