Train Wreck

By HeLlSeND

same trip again though the sights will change
some seem familiar, some might seem strange.
every single ride has the same soundtrack
bleeding out pride as the pains bounce back
and the coals crack, belting smog into the sky
choking on the ash leaving love alone to die
the need to wonder why the ride screams on
fried dreams roam the last leaves home
the night seems long when left to bereave
it's insane to believe the lies and deciet
the train's 'bout to leave as we rise to our feet
guarantee that the ride is the best of your life
till the slip and slide as the rest of the knife
cuts to the core from the wound in your back
festered and sore from the ruthless attack
bending the track steering trains into disaster
screaming of dreams from here to hereafter
but it doesn't matter, the journey brings the thrills
not the sudden stop or the gurneys for the kills
and though the wreckage stills, the heart beats on
aching for the awakening of lust long gone.
