Heart Shaped Canvas

By Leith Plunkett

Fragile as a flower shedding a tear of morning dew

becoming

                                   warmth’s

                                                                   embrace

My first taste of love was your lips

Lustful as fire angels tearing at the seams of night

temptress

                            to the

                                                    fireflies

Our love burns brightest

Lost

In eyes of opal hues

This is what dreams are made of

On the canvas of my heart

Your name

                               carved

                                                          immortal

I love the formatting in this. It really gives it a featherdown quality, soft, dreamy.
