I miss you, the rain

By silentninja

Where is the rain?
Where is that storm cloud that I was promised?
I miss the silence of the pitter patter pitter patter
Pitter patter

Where is my torrential downpour
Not a drop in the sky
Now it pours from my eyes
I would love to hear the rain tonight
tomorrow
next week
next month
and year

Without the rain I bleed a thousand tears

The sun has been known to betray, so disloyal
and swears
With the beauty or rain
nothing else can compare

The rain wanders ever so upon a darklit cloud
If I'm lucky, I'll hear the thundering sound
As a pitter patter pitter patter
Hurls towards the ground

I'll sing my rain song
I'll dance to please the gods
just for the pleasure of some lightning rods

Oh dear sweet rain
without you life seems so bad
With water flowing from my eyes
My beauty is sad

I shall await by the fountain
For heavens sweet kiss
I hunger for your return
As it is you I now miss

Oh dear sweet rain
Come home again
And again
And again

I like this....had a very archaic feel to it...reminds of a famous poet, not sure who....good stuff....
