Another Fairy Tale
By Miztaken4beauty
Around her neck she wore a lock,
Replaced her heart with a stone.
She built a caslte of shattered dreams,
...
Just to be alone.
She quit her hopes,
Fell to her fears,
Stuck in a darkness
That lasted years.
Until the day,
Someone will arise,
to destroy her world,
before her very eyes,
She will
always remain.
So beware dark knight,
The fallen one will
wait,
Afraid to care, yet,
Quick to hate.
Because
even the heart
[that is a stone]
Doesn't wish to die.

Wow! Impeccable! I was just pulling up random poems until this one caught my eye. Your use of romanticism to illustrate a very human beauty and frailty was inspired. Some of us do await the day we might find a soul that would free our own.

...i kind of like this....had a very structured but yet effective flow...felt kind of archaic, like a story from the middle ages...
