Life On The Edge

By Malcholm Dark

I have always been mad, I have always been sane
My life is one lived on the edge
With an undeniable force which keeps me up...
looking down.

Always teetering from side to side, always unbalanced
And both sides seem diverting and unpredictable
Yet, I find life most fulfilling on the edge...
looking down.

Today is my twilight, tomorrow's my end
I regret nothing I have done
And if I fall asunder, I shall rise up...
looking down.

I shall always rise up...
looking down.

We exist, measured by just a moment in time
At that moment's end we shall be remembered
Not by the life that we lived
But by the way we lived that life.

An interesting thought I must say, I too exist on the edge, always looking down seeing the abyss but never falling in, the last bit is especially true that was a lesson I was taught very young. The life you lived doesn't matter, but how you lived it, write on my friend. Scholar
