"Forever Grand"

By Grim_Sorrow

paint faded
wood worn
ivory keys longing for a moments embrace
the notes
now empty
don't sing like they use to
she once made music so beautiful
words so clear
hearts would melt
minds grew silent
and for a moment
music
that music
is all that mattered
but now these tunes
false pitch
violent repetition of love and loss
have left us wincing
cringing
wanting to be heard
to be known
understood
chords warped and frayed
left to befall fate preordained
she stands neglected
unattended

waiting patiently for the chance to sing again.

Nicely done... reminds me of my 1880 piano.... so out of tune, it hurts my ears to walk near it... lol.... this piece was a pleasure to read, thanks
