Locked Away
By Miztaken4beauty
"Do you feel safe,
are you alright?"
She stares at the wall,
so glaring and white.
In this prison of man,
She's sent
to recover,
to be cured of her habits,
she can no longer smother.
Because she feels dirty,
she's reached her limit.
Her
soul is torn,
and her flesh soon mimics.
She anticipates
the cold,
it makes everything real,
Sometimes you must be numb,
to see what it is to feel.
So in her tower,
the princess
stays.
Told over and over,
she must change her ways.
The flesh is forgiving,
it always will heal,
but the scars
serve as reminders,
that the past is indeed real.
And the
sad little princess,
thought she was broken,
it showed through
her actions,
and words left unspoken.
She never realized,
she mattered so much,
to every life,
she ever touched.
Her freedom now,
has been assured.
She has, quite obviously,
finally been cured.
So now from the tower,
she can descend,
Surrounded by family,
surrounded by friends.
Trials and
tribulations,
lessons are learned,
this time she sees the future,
and feels it was earned.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel....lol.... Another fine piece of poetry... When you spoke of your tower I thought of Rapunzel... and how only you could turn a fairy tale into a dark masterpiece, thanks
