I am the light that motivates man
I am who I say, I am who I am.
Whether it be by the wayside or by the streams
I render you consciousness often through dreams.
I give to you hatred to wheel like a gun
I give to you love to glow like the sun.
I may be persuaded but cannot be bought
Therefor, I am thought.


I am the transition during moments of sorrow
I can torment you with visions of tomorrow.
I will give you courage through discredit or fame
I will play you the pawn in a more elaborate game. 
Yet I am the reflection, conveying a distinct contrast
That reap tears of guilt with thoughts from your past.
I may be persuaded but cannot be bought
Do you know me?  I am thought.


I am imagination--meditation--emotion--intellect
From inception until death, I will have an overwhelming effect.
I am the fire which allows you to create
With pen upon paper your dreams you can state.
I give to you faith and train your body like no other
I direct you to live in peace beside one another.
I may be persuaded but cannot be bought
Have you guessed me by now?  I am thought.


My intangible attributions you shall never deny
For they are supplied by a source far greater than I.
A source from the heavens or God if you will
He created my substance and commands me still.
Yet also there is darkness, with very little hope
With demons and depression, with razors and rope.
I am the solution for which you have sought
I am your mind, I am thought.
