Lost

I wish you weren't so far away.
I wish we'd had more time to play.
When we touched I felt such heat.
Thinking of you, my heart skips a beat.
Which is all the minutes of the day.

And in the night you're in my dreams.
Never am I to escape you, it seems.
Do you see, a piece of my heart you stole?
Thoughts of you permeate my soul.

Imagining circumstances changed,

This sadness and abuse, too,
