Awake to Life

By bloody LOVEly

Just outside the city limits, I reminisce in tides of nostalgic enchantment.
I've seen this place before, but never been.
My life, confined to an old town.
And now, I step out.
Unbound by the orders of the street signs, no longer confined to the road lines.
I am not thinking in real time.
My mind has no limits.

I've felt this feeling before, but never knew it.
I drench myself in nature's embryonic bath...
and bask within a new self: re-born and unscathed.
Years before I was scarred.
Soul tortured and barred.
Remnants of myself lay as dust on the shelves,
waiting till I would shift outside my cell.
I remember this day, yet never lived it.
But it lived inside my dreams, awaiting my awakening.

Simple passion. A language I can most certainly relate to...thank you for this.
