THIRSTING

By lovechild

The Las Vegas sewers smell like death,
And soon all the water that we have left
Will come from those sewage pipes,
And, though they'll tell us it's been purified,
Some nasty things will make it through,
Ending up inside of me and you,
Filling us with our own filth...
So be careful not to waste or spill,
And give thanks each day to the Powers That Be
For the Colorado River,
Boulder Dam,
and Lake Mead.
