Fool's Gold

By TheUltimateOutlaw

He said,
“The stars are bright,
Brighter still with their dust
Reflecting in your golden eyes”
He paused.

A breath
Was all the time
It took to find his words
“You are the brightest shining star
Of all.”

She laughed.
Impossible
To believe that he should
Compare her to the sparkle of
The night.

A kiss;
Drowning laughter,
Silencing all but sighs
Escaping from their parted lips;
True love.

Their eyes
Became the stars
In their quick beating hearts
What we assumed to be glitter
Fool's gold.

Cinq-Cinquain? Yep. still reallybored.

    One of those moments. Like a photograph. Very, very sweet. Dig it.
