Date
By The_Scavenger
Homecoming came and I had no date,
Cause my girl said I she would no longer date,
Torture and torment this women did bring,
To crush my heart with a sling.
To follow it through… a dagger of rust,
From this women I gave my trust.
A women with no heart or soul
To bring this on me twice in a row
The candles go out with the flame of her love
To bring sadness on this day given to me from above.
Alone I go down the trail of shadows…
In search of my missing soul.
A light I see… my dear friend it is with word of the light.
A new date they have found me which they think I will like.
I cave under pressure and agreed with this deed.
The dance I did go with someone I did not know.
7 months ago that was and still today…
I travel with that someone I now know
My love she now is… and forever will be
I pray she too feels this way for my heart is still mending
From the pending pain and I pray
She will not bring rain upon my day

This was interesting. It had nice flow, and good choice of words. Still for me it is to close to real "story telling". I loved it becouse i care about "you two". But as a poem i think it needs editing.
