A Daughter Of No Consequence
By TheUltimateOutlaw
A daughter of no consequence
Feline countenance
Married off—
Sold to some high bidder;
A piano with keys barely out of tune
Just so—
Each note slightly off;
A kilter all her own—
Demeanor reckless—a tad;
But really quite sound of body
With wide birthing hips;
A good mother someday—
Perhaps.
Ever a feline countenance—
She will sweep floors
And whistle
While she works
To concentrate on tasks—
Mundane tedium a woman
Is born to.
A daughter of no consequence—
Plato in the bath tub;
Once the apples are in the pie.
Jack rabbits in the garden;
And she feeds them all the carrots—
None left for the stew tonight;
Make your own supper.
A kilter all her own—
Her words are fleeting—
Little bug zaps of lightening
When she chances to open her mouth
And the long haired style of the time
Suits her perfectly— quite;
As do the rubber boots she wears
To dig in mouths of clams—
For a pearl
That will buy her at ticket
To run away.
A feline countenance—quite
She believes that when she dies
She will become one with the night stars;
Finally a chance to shine
A daughter of no consequence--
With a kilter all her own.

Some of this held much meening to my inner poet. Some did not. But the full piece is killer. Write on

ah... such tedium... aren't we all born to? I like the way the tedium... the mundane, if there were any here, falls away and the unique kilter of the persona here emerges as a daughter of consequence... of meaning made and banality overcome... the making of a novelty, yes... herein lies such making as a persona relegated to the leftovers has regained control of future menus... of future venues... refreshing, I like the periodic anaphora, it pulls the theme together nicely.
