Skeletons in the mirror...ghosts of my past

By BeautifullyRuined

its too cold inside this house
and finding something to wear is next to impossible
with all the skeletons that
have taken up residence in my closet

the bed still smells like you
and i cannot bring myself to wrap up in blankets
that layed across your skin
the same way i did

nor can i wash them because
that would make this too permanent
that would mean you really did leave me
for good

the walls echo with your laughter
and the mirror only frowns at me
maybe because it remembers your smile

I`m in denial

your toothbrush still sleeps
curved up against mine
because that is the way its always been
i guess you bought a new one
to go with your new life
the life you live without me

Naked
on the floor in a tomb
that was once my home
with nothing but memories for comfort
when memories are what put me here
