Late December
By Equinox Asylum
I begin again in late December
often before the first
Seasons fall in line
never on my time
I wake from silent slumber
and begin before the end
The alpha and omega of my space and time
I trip over my own soul
on the way to redemption
and stand on the face of regret
with football cleats and a smile
I begin again in late December
and offer no excuses

There is something so special in this, a reminder? of hope, of chances that can be....Wonderful message

It was the line, "I trip over my own soul/on the way to redemption" that got me. Cerebrum poking indeed. ~T

The football cleats won me over so I had to read it again and again. Will be back :)

The ending was so powerful. I love this flow and the words resound in my mind.
