Dawn of War
By Redemption
I've seen the march of a thousand thousand men
Orchestrated all in the name of war
I've watched the conclusion of untold wars
Fought brutally and leaving death and the symphonies, mayhem
Fields painted red with warriors blood
Tinted with many silvers, remenants of the battles tools
Within my mind still rings animosities hymns
Echoing mighty war horns, screaming as if in unison
The dead-becoming manys cries
Blood curled and vital moanings
Likewise, I've witness wars mocking tides
The sadistic portrayals of natures requiems
Night skies lit ablaze not by the gentle stars above
But by a swarm of fire smitten arrows raining to fell
Mountains molded, not from rocks sliding.
But from the piled dead's dormant torsos, buried modestly
-Yet so ironic, from death comes life
As from those "Man-made" hills in time
Sprouts unlikely grass, and lovely flowers
Rivers manifested, courtesy of the butchered limb secretion
And the aftermath, as nature weeps
Washing fro all that remains
At least for a time
For war, like every storm soon passes
Only to return once more, unannounced and furious
Thus the circle, as with life
And through the end of my days
I ponder oblivion, for such is a question
Will humans change their ways
War, shed aside, given way to understanding
Though I know, even beyond my days
There will contiune the clash of steel
And the reckoning of the climatic marching
And from under my grave
Even deep within my black sleep
I'll still hear...
That march of a thousand thousand overhead
Poised for war...

Excellence. Such an invincible barrier you've created here .. awoke my nerves and held them at end. It's rather hard for me to comment on this because of how truly I relate..

You always seem to pen with such poise, despite its manipulative qualities. I mean that in the absolute best way possible.
