"She"

By Forever Cold

She sat in the pure darkness,
Surrounded buy her fear.
the broken shards of her past filled her,
consumed her.
it did not matter what she did,
what she drank,
how deep the cut,
how much she cried.
she could not feel anything.
the love she once so belived in
had betrayed her,
the life in side choked,
by the darkness that she let
take over her.
her belief in love,
though she clung to it for dear life,
was lip service.
her depths seem to cut deep in her.
no object could ever fill this void
she dug deep inside her self.
she shut the door to love,
and filled it with pain.
the physical pain she could take,
the drugs would wear away,
but she was terrified to let her self
love again.
the world she knew
betrayed her, and all her beliefs
fell through.
no love had cut her this way,
she did this.
she though that nothing could pull
her out of the prison she was in.
afraid to be alone, but hated to be alone.
she though she was safer that way,
that if no one could touch...

could she have been wrong,
that even in the darkness,
the light could still touch her?
he could be that one..
for his painful scars ran deeper then hers..
that maybe , her heart could fast again.
that tears would fall for once more.
and to let go of all that was done...

The sorrow in this piece is so deep felt, that it pains my heart to look at it. But I will never look away. The beauty in it has captured me. Tiger
