Orchid.

By Dreamless

Like frozen rivers
Cracking under pressure
Shattering as mirrors do
In the hands of the vain

A rusting framework
Blueprints to happiness
Crumpled and forgotten
Lost and torn

Stained with sins
Tarnished with desires
Broken-down and rebuilt
Never satisfactory

Bound in chains
On the crucifix of life
Like a wilting orchid
Withering and drifting away...

Striving to prove worth by leaving fragmented pieces of self along the way. Damn this cut deep. Stubbornness being a well deserved specialty. Cheers- Scholar

Would I still hold their beauty so high if I were able to hold them forever, at any time??? Another excellent pen... you have made a fan... Scholar
