The Middle Ages
By cadymae
I'll see you your candy pink sateen
and raise you my grey-flannel
hoodie
We both dressed wrong
I'll be warm going home alone
You'll have your White-Dinner-Coat-Man
to keep you warm
We both could wake up vaguely envious
of the other,
you of my solitude,
me of your mussed sheets
Yet we both s t r e t c h
in our glad morning assurance
of simply waking up
ourselves

A celebration of life lived just being yourself. Another classic piece.

Reminds me of about ten years ago waking up young and full of life after partying all night. Those were the days.
