Screwed Up Sleeping Pattern Rant

O GOD! CAPTAIN PLANET! YAY!

And sex
And more sex
Insomniac Music Theater
Hey, they spell theatre wrong!
Screw early morning infomercial TV
I'm tired of Girls Gone Wild convincing me that
America
Has no
Self-decency

Damn TV off
Pose in front of the mirror
Trying to find an angle
Between all the blue dry-erase marker
That makes me look thin

Paint my nails
Purple and yellow
Another five minutes burned
Don't want a perfect sunless tan
Show me a singer who can sing

Lie on the floor
Arms and legs striped red and white
From clawing at them
Subconsciously

Put on black eyeliner
It makes me think I'm pretty
At 5.00 in the morning
What a laugh
I can't even get my fingers through my hair

Want to win a cruise to the Caymans
That would be almost as great
As the word "shindig"
And I wouldn't need a sunless tan

All the blankets are wrinkled
Wish I could stop rolling around
And count a lamb or two

If you were here
I'd let you hold me
Maybe if you kept me warm
I could get some sleep

i love the way you complain about the excreble matter that they have on late night commercials, i also live the plaint at the end about the absense of someone special - well executed Scholar

After having been through the same thing as the title suggests, this is all very easy to understand, and a testament to commercialism and superficiality and a grand and morbid scale.Good work.

hmmm I know this feeling. sometimes really interesting words combos can come out of nowhere...

This rocks, it's going on my favorites. Everything you've described I've felt sometime within the last four days. It's good to know others are going through the same nightly hell! Great rant, I love it.
