  • "A starkly dark portrayal of the lonely exit that awaits us all. Your observations are on-target and your scents are keenly focused on an oft neglected subject (the sense of smell). Cheers D-man! - Dan"

And since you have experienced visits in these homes, if one could call such a place a home, I'm sure you can understand the atmosphere of such a lonely place...part hospital, part jail, part insane asylum. Dismal. Nobody should live their final years there."

  • "The way you structured this really added to the flow and overall feel of this write. I can feel these words because I'm reminded of visiting a loved one years ago when they were in an assisted living home. Good write."

  • "Thank you Willow, it has been some time since I've even reread this myself. I thank you bc it's your poem "Silent Choir" that brought me back to this site to read others as well as review my own...and for that I am truly grateful. Who knows, I may just find some renewed enthusiasm to write but that will either happen or it wont...these things must give birth to themselves. Thank you again Willow...I'll be checking up on more of your poems soon."

  • "After reading your comment to my poem "Silent Choir" , thank you btw, I wanted to read some of your works. I have read them all and thoroughly enjoyed each one. This one...this one hit me hard because of some personal issues taking place in my life at this time. "Bring me the roses while I live." Something I've heard and said my whole life. Anyhow not quite the same thing but this was a wonderfully written piece.💚💚💚💚💚"

  • "Hi Dime, and almost an "I told you so" ending here maybe. I think cremations are now about 50% and increasing. I'm an organ donor too; hoping there's not a "no deposit / no return" policy when I check out. Cheers for this lonely, last request - Dan"

  • ""Lipless" was definitely a whoa moment as this took a darker turn Dime. What would we do without those scavengers keeping the roads and beaches clean of carrion. Striking vision here with world events and all - cheers! - Dan "
