  • "Indeed. I think I'm too used to the bad now, that's when and where I thrive, I don't know how to deal with happiness, that's not my forte. A simple painted smile gets me by just fine. But I reckon you have some semblance of sanity left :D Happiness can't be too far from you now."

  • "Yes, life is an experience. This summer, I am making a trip up to Acadia National Park in Maine. There is a peak called "Cadillac Mountain" which, if climbed in the early hours, allows the climber to be the first person in the United States to see the sun rise that morning. I'm going to scale that mountain, let the pulse of the Atlantic Ocean fill my ears, let the crisp air fill my lungs, and let the first wisps of orange and pink hues take my breath away as the sun breaks over the horizon. All of this. Yet, the one thing that I won't do is ruin the experience by trying to analyze it."

  • "Thanks, Karen. I agree, but perfect doesn't exist. "Perfect" may sound easy & painless, but there are so many that try to be "perfect", when there is nothing in this world flawless. I don't care who they are or what they do. Life is supposed to be an experience...some just experience more than others, and in different ways."

  • "Nothing is ever perfect, it's just an illusion, but I am glad you like & appreciate it...as well as me. Thank you :)"

  • "I haven't had a life of balance just yet. The bad, miserable part has outweighed the good & I have definitely lived colorfully, in timeless moments, but most of it has been smudged, darkened & scribbled upon. I've seen alot, heard alot, read alot & done alot, but i'm hoping...maybe, just maybe...one day, things will be a whole lot better than they have & in turn can find the brighter side to balance it all out."

  • "This is pure honesty.... Made me think of the saying 'walk a day in my shoes'... Perfect people with perfect lives.. In perfect routines of sterile bliss... Are just plain and boring.... The ones who have felt every emotion, suffered pain beyond the average are to me more interesting and are the ones who have really lived"

  • "So many people lead empty, dull, grey lives, losing themselves to maddening routines, dying long before their bodies decay. I think it often takes a calamity for someone to appreciate life... Or maybe I'm just full of it ahaha. Regardless, this is a remarkable write, and I am willing to bet you have lived quite a 'colorful' live, experiencing all spectrum's on the emotional ride."

  • "I think Shakespeare coined the word hot/cold-blooded, so I guess you can take this credit for black blooded. The crows line made me think of Game of Thrones and the whole work is incredibly scornful but still a joy to read. Thanks Kitten."

  • "Very good, and that's the point I was making. Reading helps enhance the mind, but it's not the answer for all nor any handbook/guidleline for real life. Thanks"

  • "Read a lot of books in my life, but I whole-heartedly agree that in real life what they teach is less than useless, simply read for personal enjoyment. I'll rely on instinct and experience always."
