- "I read this as a suicide... where the end... she just drowns by the sea... curls her toes in and becomes sculpted, as in turned to stone, and becomes one, both metaphorically, and perhaps literally, with the water, with the feeling that the ebb and flow brought, that final feeling of being in sync with the tide... with the waves... the ice breeze sliding into the eyes, I read as an icing over of the eyes... a subtle trope for dying, not unlike the sea being swallowed. The drifting back to reality, I saw as the edge of the event... the boundary of being one with the sea, the reality is that icy breeze, the mortality it represents, and the loss that inevitably drifts off..... At first I think I missed this possible rendering, but I'm glad I thought about it for awhile, I think this adds depth to the poem; of course, I don't know if this was intended or not, it is subtle and open to interpretation, as it should be. Thank you, this was a treat of a potd, very much so.... "

- "A couple of very cool metaphors, serenly spoken and developed. Smouldering intensity well-done."

- "if only every night could closely sing such lullaby, it only fits for the world to be more peaceful ..... when having so much to give it is astonishing the distances one's gifts could reach. Beautiful write~"

- "for how could they swallow the sea... reminds me of famous line from Nietzsche ... very sensual and subtle, the imagery is to die for, I think. sculpted through a swallowing, maybe, a taste of the sea breeze.. flowing in rhythm freely... I wonder if the green doesn't suggest some form of jealousy, this cold possession, perhaps, that juts its weathered head into the midst of every dreamy scape, like a sharp fragment of iceberg reality... maybe. much enjoyed, very well wrought work. thank you."

- "A rich and intoxicating piece. I don't know why there aren't more comments on this. I am of the sea myself and this is why I love it so. The magnificence it inspires and the beauty it surfaces in ypur writing is like honey on my tongue. I foresee myself coming back to this piece and your writing very often."
