- "I understand the desire for peace, believe me. Unfortunately, that isn't the purpose of this world. We are here to choose, and that's why there is such a division. There is a right choice, and there is a wrong choice. The last stanza is proof enough. What if that had been written by the person who flew that jet into the twin towers? The people who lost their loved ones would tell you that a wrong choice is always wrong. * * * I understand your viewpoint, at least I believe I do, but we can't all get along if we're on different sides and we're also steadfast in our beliefs. There is good and evil, we have to choose where we stand. * * * By the way, being on the side of good does not include hating or even feeling superior to those on the other side, it mean we should DO good, and try to help them see. Out actions tell us who we are."

I comprehend a part of your pain through this. Why do we have to hurt? There is no reason I can fathom. Why do people choose to let themselves become bringers of destruction and grief? I think the path they chose was easy at first, downhill is always easy, but then when the direction became clear it was too steep to turn around. Then again, there is no excuse for not letting oneself fall into the pit of Hell itself rather than hurting another. * * * This, along with your bio, touched me. It makes me want to dispense justice myself. * * * No matter how much was taken from you, though, only you have the power to choose where your spirit will go from here. Keep climbing if you can."

- "I noted in your profile you are in law enforcement. I do not envy what you must see... and the emotions taken away and carried with you in the process. I'm glad you are here. I hope you find a release in expressing yourself. And thank you for the comment. You are very kind."

- "I liked this. It made me smile. It's true about people arguing about religions and trivial matters. We should all just let people be themselves. It shouldn't matter whether you take yours black or with cream :) Whatever floats your boat. lol"

- "Was there a hint of cinnamon in there somewhere? Is this taster's choice? "I measure out my life in coffee spoons"... TS Eliot, or close enough. I'd like a little more of the metaphor developed here, but there is much truth in the words. Be well Shweets!"

- "I want to thank everyone collectively for the comments, the encouragement, the connections made. It seems by sharing we find others who may not have been through the exact same experience, but have shared similar trauma or emotions. And by knowing this it helps...people want to help each other here. They want people to heal. Or at the very least, the support and kindness shown brings a smile to someone who may not have been smiling before your words came along. THANK YOU "

- "Very sad that something like this is even a possibility. The part about sleeping with the light on/being afraid to dream really struck a nerve. Sadly written but written well, thank you for sharing."
