Devotion to Night
By wandering druid
When the wind sighs under red-veined skies
And shadows stretch for Night's embrace
My eager eyes turn towards the prize
Of Dusk with daylight's pains erased
Tree limbs shiver in anticipation
Each creaking for a star
As obsessions seen begets elation
Orations are tongued to lights afar
The rising cries of wild things
Entwine like snakes upon the wind
Or the moaning sung
By Lovers' tongues
Whilst fingers run 'pon glistening skin
Robed within the colour
Of midnight's sweet eclipse
My footsteps stalk the concrete walks
Nightshade's devotions on my lips
So hard to feel alone, forlorn
Surrounded by the whispering whisps
Or the tremors brought on
When Luna's soft song
Brushes me like fingertips

Oh... This was beautiful. "Tree limbs shiver in anticipation/Each creaking for a star" You have put sewn a soul onto the night. What a soul it is. Thank you for sharing.
