Kissing your lips(choking on lies)

By BeautifullyRuined

Kiss me
so i can pretend i dont hear
every lie that slips past your smiling
lips to dance accross my tounge
right before i swallow every syllable
like a gumdrop from two Christmasses past

lucky for me your eyes are closed
so you cant see revulsion paste
itself to my face like a 3 year olds
arts and crafts project before
i remember who i`m with and
paint a self portrait Monet
would be proud of

except i can never seem to make my
eyes look alive when your holding me
so close to a heart that doesnt care mine is
broken like a jigsaw puzzle missing
more than a few pieces which
you lost the last time you tried
to put me back together again

and i know your playing me like a guitar
with only 2 strings one stands for happiness
the other for pain and if your trying
to make me trust you your hitting
the wrong note because the doubt keeps
flooding into me washing out all hope

your still kissing me and i can almost
remember what a happy ending feels
like when its pressed against me
so close it can almost
touch my soul its to bad i sold it to the
devil years ago just for the chance to
see your smile when all it does is mock
my words i`m sick of you being the star
of all my poetry and i`m tired of acting
like a pornstar in a b-movie faking
the enjoyment everytime you touch me

If i didnt love you so much i`d hate
you sometimes i already do but
i`ll stay with you until goodbye
decides to kiss me because
i know i may hate the way your
lips taste but they taste
of forever
