Pensive Below the Falling Leaves

By wandering druid

The winds, the winds,
The winds of change
In ever-shifting streams
Flow through the seasons' many days
To bring life to what we dream

Stars that shimmer in the night
Can guide us safely home
The faces of loved ones in sight
When tired and lonely we have grown

And fluttering birds upon the wing
Bring thoughts of journeys to the mind
When those who hear the wing-ed sing
Long to leave what they have seen behind
