Faith in Poetry

By Crysa

The poet has faith that would rival that of the saints.
He believes in the power of words,
in their ability to exceed humanity.

To the true poet,
writing is ritual magic,
each swirl of ink is vital to the process,
just as the way the pen scratches the paper
is important to the shaping of thoughts into words.
