Dark Reign
By MGood
Skin soaked to pale in sorrow.
Remnants of the fuel that fed our tomorrow,
Streak my face,
And every other place.
Seated here cold, wet and waiting.
Steam rising,
All around,
From the ashes that surround,
Whispers sweetly;
'Forgive me'
I hang my head,
Instead.
Thankful for this sadness.
This salvation from madness.
Under the darkest sky,
You contained the strength that went awry.
Through an endless night,
That turned, and almost burst into day light.

what fills the void of a lost tomorrow... a burning loss perhaps... perhaps more... when sorrow fills the void... humility or guilt.... where does the void end... and something else begin. searching questions awakened here.

You set this up so well with your flow and rhyme scheme, and just gave it at the end. Great. ....-samone
