Fractured Faith
By Zhee
Why does belief shatter?
Scattering into nonexistence,
With the nothingness cutting
Like a constant reminder
Of your consuming darkness,
As you're left screaming
At the dark face
Of your own emptiness. . .
You rub at your hurt,
Friable under your fingers,
Breaking away -
Till your decay
Lies exposed. . .
Hope burnt out,
Lost in the debris
Of your cremated being,
And you limp along
On your crippled beliefs,
Trying to build your life
With all this fractured faith. . .
(this was just a quick write..)

a quick write but fitting. It only takes an instant to lose hope and shatter faith- a devastating instant, to be sure. I like the way this speaks simply for what it is.

VERY nicely wrote...seems we can find truth when we let ourselves think the least...keep using your intuition ~UC~

One truth & one truth & one truth make too many truths. This poem had the effect of cremation on me. Some people use faith as a crutch. Never give up.

sometimes all you have are you beliefs and faith and sometimes even they desert you, painfully brilliant like always :) ~kristy
