A Home To Rest My Heart

By bloody LOVEly

I think the sun would be a pleasant place to rest my heart upon
and let it burn with the fires
sizzling and going
POP!
Because my heart is but a slab of meat.
Enticing one to taste.
The juicy sweetness of my loving.
Steamed and boiled and burnt to a crisp.
And in the heat of the sun my heart would spoil.
Oh how bitter love can be.
Like rotten meat.

I think I'll sink my heart in the sea.
And let it nestle between the reefs,
so that my love can swim among the fish.
Though, quickly my heart would decay.
And my love would wear away, washing up on the beaches.
How tragic it seems that nothing lasts forever.
Like fish bones and crab claws on the shore.

I think your love would be a pleasant home to rest my heart.
And let passion grow there
so strong and beautiful, it won't ever die.
Like a deeply rooted rose refusing to be plucked away.
