I want her

By A Burning God

Despite the past,
I want to see her
The only girl that I’ve known
The one that I want
Want to hold,
To make her mine
To be with
Through good times,
And in bad.
I need her,
To stop my shaking
To caress me
And tell me that everything’s gonna be ok
And I want her
To hold her
To help her
To be her pillar
Just as she was for me
Because that’s what lovers do,
Besides what everyone else thinks
Of that simple word: lover.
But, it means more than that.
It means to care and help one another,
To be there
To help,
To love,
To comfort,
And, most of all,
To be there when no one else will.
