The sad man cries

By Sentient Ignorance

Do you know why the sad man cries
or why the lonely man takes his own life
To try to fill the emptyness inside
why the druggies, stoners, and alcoholics get high
Wishing and praying and hoping they might die
to afraid to be the lonely man and take ones own life
Would you sacrifice everything for five minutes of feeling nice
would you slit your wrists to make sure that you're still alive
Feeling the cold blood beneath you as you begin to cry
knowing what you've done but you don't undestand why
There wasn't another way, that all you could do was say goodbye
and you relive the past in one last gurgled sigh
Your friends don't know and at your funeral they don't begin to cry
there is no note leaving everyone to wonder why
Do you know why the sad man cries?
