[Catastrophy Wept A Silent Monologue]

By BleedSilver

This ghost of a dream
Wept catastrophy in the midnight darkness,
So consumed by apathy in its splendidly utter starkness-
So bled the ghost of a lover past,
Trapped inside a wicked, malicious looking glass...

Heaps of words composed of stone
Meant for me to be alone
In the memories of a flawless past
Another memory - useless trash.

Another reason to empty the bottle...

Amber it was,
This pale beautiful liquid
It took me away from everything...
It took everything away from me.

Another vein to tap dry
To prevent these words from spilling over
Onto paper I cannot feel
Beneath my fingertips I hide-
Inside this bottle I crawl inside
I find no solace,
Only worsened memories...

These pages bled dry
In my drunken lullaby...
My ode to the bottom
Of a bottle oft traveled...
In search of solace
That cannot be found.

This is the ghost I dream of now,
A tear of blood and whisper of broken glass...
So reminiscient of a shattered past
I glue together,
In hopes of forgetting.
