A Parting of Senses

By Spiritus_Frumenti

And I....
I know it rains heavy at times,
But it is not my place to ask why
To ask when
Even if I know how-
How the sky is rampant with pain
Felt by every cold drop descending

It is not my call to suggest a reason
To explore the seasons that goes and come again
Even if I know how-
How the wind shakes a tree with fury
As leaves land on the ground, not being autumn yet

Surely I am not at a liberty to comment
To instigate on the ways of life
Even if I know how-
How the years break down a man
Consuming his soul when his body still has time left

Certainly I am in no position to wonder,
To interpret,
To recognize meanings ahead
Even if I know how
even if I know how....
