driven like the nightside spirits
- rustle about the interior -
are we truly deceiving ourselves?
freckle cheek'ed,
speckle beige'd from days in the sun,
evoking a lost estival breath.
welcoming glances
taken into slumbering consideration
a minute rests on the clock of presumptuous inquiry . .
perhaps time too holds the patience
never invested in such things.
