"coffee breath(b)" (2.2.05)

By Buckwise McDickermeat

driven like the nightside spirits
- rustle about the interior -
are we truly deceiving ourselves?

freckle cheek'ed,
speckle beige'd from days in the sun,
evoking a lost estival breath.

welcoming glances
taken into slumbering consideration
a minute rests on the clock of presumptuous inquiry . .

perhaps time too holds the patience
never invested in such things.
