xXxGlass.Bottle.HeartxXx

By BleedSilver

My heart is a (glass) bottle,
The insides painted with my pain and misery,
Crimson in appearance,
Black in taste, easily broken, easily defaced.

Gunpowder was the flavor I tasted,
(not you, this bullet of guilt)
Explosive apathetic indifference
to the world and its fading ways…

Gossamer threads are the tenuous footholds
to my ethereal existence,
My isolated mind is but a shotgun shell away to freedom,
My mind is my shelter that shelters no faith,
For myself, or my heart.

Tears silver in the light of night,
Liquid metallic dreams and shattered hearts,
Swept up in the wishes and broken promises I made just yesterday...
My heart is a broken glass bottle.

I beg of you now, with my eyes of swirling darkness,
My touch a fleeting whisper of words I cannot speak,
My presence a dark spot on your heart forevermore,
I hand you the remenants of the bottle that was my heart.

Take it back to destroy again...

Only this time, it won't hurt me the way it does now.

The first stanza in this is pure beauty. I'm astounded at your ability to create such vivid images! Such an inspiring and frightful piece.
