On This Night.. [Oblivious]

By Deadly Embrace

On this night, sleep eludes me,
Leaving my soul dry,
Trying to escape my taunted memories,
That only leave more tears to cry..
On this night, of sugar coated lies..
I fell to my knees, depressing my mind,
Why won't these memories leave me?
Just a few more miles I shall crawl,
To escape this madness, where love cannot cure,
In my shallow attempts to fall,
And I'm sorry, I'm strong enough,
To turn and walk away,
I'm sorry, I caused these dreadful scars,
From words I could not say..
On this night, I've become oblivious,
You won't see me, and my eternal mistakes,
I've never felt so dreadful.. so worthless,
For you, and you alone..
I can never come to replace..

"Torturous the memory of the last glance into the face of one, so dear..." This reminds me of that song, 'Lullaby' by The Last Dance. Sorrowed beauty again.. -Michael
