...a promise::::::

By Exodus

My arms wrapped so tightly
Around my breath of life, of infused
Pneumonia, capsizing on my heart
And taking me all and completely.

I did not want to let go.

But I returned you so you could walk
Delicately away from me,
Slipping and un-tied.

I became lost.
A fool, a hanging epitamy of a dead person.
Sleeping wakeless, and talking and thinking
Not quite right without him here.
So lonesome, so vacant.

Always said I was empty.
Now theres really something gone.

The most important part
Of being happy, of feeling something of that sort.

But it was all gone in an instant.

Flooded by hands, blinding me and strangling me.

As I went under I saw the gleam of you there.

I remembered it.

-

the sound of the door will knock me
so strangely from this sleep.
And I saw you there, breath, life and love
Holding onto me at first sight.

And I will never forget to cry when my world finally falls down.

And you still stand there, holding my hand.
