Small Shoebox

By call to arms

This is the english translation of my piece "Boîte De Chaussure Petite." The English translation does no justice for the French...

I have a small shoebox
It is weary, but it is my best friend
It holds my confessions
Of sadness
And my dreams of death
It weeps during the night
And when I have awakened
I have found my small box
Deeply in despair
And I know my
Small box is lonely
And I am too.
I love my small box
Because
I know
It
Knows
Me.
