Your Interpretations of Anything Outside the Box are Quite Crude

By Loomer

Hold it, the head start is done
You've been rushing all this time
Gotten a feeling of gratitude
Of all things fortunate around you
Prices are all on our heads
Today we'll turn those into motivation
Continue living a life of secrecy
On how we all want to live
Congratulations to you for staying put

Before we all go down to the river
Down to where you want to throw rocks
Feel around the edge, into the water
Wave the arms around, act it out better
I'm not saving you, I'm walking away
A bridge is near, freedom is close
You've got to believe I've lost hope
And you never will
A circumstance on which you live
Unfortunate, more so now
There's no one else to tell

Who do you write to every night?
Audiences of faces that have gone
Crossed into a certain comfort
Where those aren't afraid of dealing
Growing into something larger than you
What you have is very near
What you have is the time to yourself

I'm still waiting for more. I've almost written 300+ poems and two whole books in the past year. Show me up, bitch! You're a better writer than me. Prove it.
